Goodwill ambassador is cut out for Assembly

The Assembly’s appointment of fictional character Stanley Mash MBE, its cardboard cutout ‘goodwill ambassador’ (aka crass new business tool), comes as another cardboard cutout, George Bush, makes a ‘goodwill’ trip to Europe.

How nice it would be if the two were to meet. We imagine they would strike up a formal, yet informed, conversation, that might go something like this. Mash: “Where do you stand on the Kyoto treaty?” Bush: “Are you my wife?”
