Tour de France

Industrial designer and bicycle enthusiast Ben Wilson has created an installation and exhibition for the Design Museum that will celebrate the start of this year’s Tour de France in London. Showcasing four seminal designs, Fixed will explore the evolution of the fixed-gear bicycle from 1888 to the present day. On 8 July, the museum will host a viewing of the event as it departs London en route to Canterbury, Kent, for the first leg of the race. Viewers are asked to bring along their bikes and contribute to a film, specially created for the museum archives.
