Confusions in ‘design mix’ to be clarified

A new venture providing clearer customer information within the design mix has been set up to bridge a gap in the market, according to its founder.

Managing director Roger Stotesbury, who was campaign manager at BT’s Customer Communications Unit, has recruited five freelances for Infocus Marketing Communications and has secured two literature clients.

Stotesbury says: “At my previous job [as associate director of Information Design Unit until last October], it was obvious that clear information in the marketing mix was becoming more and more important for customers making purchasing decisions.”

Buckingham-based Infocus will initially concentrate on literature work, says Stotesbury. However, the company’s proposition goes wider, he adds, and will include packaging, direct marketing and advertising. Infocus officially opened for business last week.
