BBC MediaArc’s Ant Fisher designs BBC’s Oscar coverage title sequences

The BBC’s Oscar night coverage this weekend features title sequences from BBC MediaArc designer and director Ant Fisher.

The idents feature an abstract shot of a flickering film projector starting up, with the light slowed down to the point where viewers can see its journey across the screen from left to right.

Elements of the sequence will also be used to front films being shown on the BBC this week in homage to nominees.
