The Scout Association’s HQ Baden Powell House is getting a 2m overhaul by PNA Design.

The six-floor building on London’s Cromwell Road houses a three-storey hostel, conference centre and restaurant, all of which have not been modernised since the building opened in the 1960s.

The hostel, open to scouts and non-scouts alike, will be upgraded and made more presentable,” says group partner Nigel Painter. “It will be better than a lot of hotels on Cromwell Road,” he adds.

PNA, which won an unpaid creative pitch against an unnamed group, is also designing a museum area, plus graphics throughout.
