DIY chains to settle Mi Home
Furniture company MFI and home improvements chain Homebase are close to settling a legal dispute over Homebase’s Mi Home identity, created by Lamb & Shirley, and applied in-store by David Davies 517 (DW 4 September 2003).
Furniture company MFI and home improvements chain Homebase are close to settling a legal dispute over Homebase’s Mi Home identity, created by Lamb & Shirley, and applied in-store by David Davies 517 (DW 4 September 2003).
MFI is understood to have filed a lawsuit against Homebase this summer, seeking unspecified damages and radical changes to the latest store-within-a-store brand, Mi Home.
A Homebase spokesman says: ‘We are hopeful that a solution will be reached soon that is satisfactory to both parties.’
MFI declined to comment as Design Week went to press.
