More money for Jerwood Prize

The Jerwood Charity and Crafts Council are to double their Jerwood Applied Arts Prize to £30 000 from 2005, when a sixth discipline, metal, will also be introduced.

The decorative and applied arts competition will now cover the following disciplines over a six-year period: metal, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, glass, furniture. A call for entries for the metal prize will be issued early next month.
