London branding and communications group Moon has redesigned French weekly title L’Evénement, which relaunched on Saturday.

The magazine, well-established, but suffering from falling sales, was bought by French publisher Georges Ghosn and is now distributed as a Saturday supplement as part of the national newspaper France-Soir.

Moon was approached by Ghosn in January of this year, having previously worked with him, on projects including the design of France-Soir.

Moon managing director Richard Moon says, “In addition to L’Evénement’s core focus – international social issues – the magazine now includes more culture, sport, lifestyle, travel and gossip than ever before. We wanted to reflect all this and keep the magazine fresh and exciting.” The consultancy will continue to provide creative input for the magazine when required.
