Cardiff sports village looking for designers

THE consortium behind a proposed multimillion pound international Sports Village in Cardiff Bay is looking for interior designers for its new 30ha complex.

If the proposals are accepted, building is expected to get underway in October 1999, with interior designers appointed during the summer. Chartered surveyor and property consultant King Sturge is advising the consortium.

“Nobody has been appointed yet… we hope to appoint the final design team in June or July,” says King Sturge’s Gareth Williams. He refuses to speculate whether the designers would be local.
