Scotland stays as CSD region
Despite Scottish devolution, the branch of the Chartered Society of Designers is to remain a regional part of the CSD and not develop independent status, says Scottish committee chairman David Gerrard.
“There are absolutely no plans for a fragmentation of the CSD,” says Gerrard. “Neither will there be a permanent headquarters, though there might be a part-time employee if we get the finance.”
A CSD spokesman adds: “There are no devolution prospects for CSD Scotland and they are not going independent. The strength of the CSD is its unity.”
