Davies Hall raises jar for Gordon’s identity

Davies Hall has created an identity and packaging for a premium range of condiments and sauces from Gordon’s Fine Foods, to be launched at next month’s Fine Foods Fair at Olympia in London.

A family-run business, Gordon’s Fine Foods manufactures products from mustards to chutneys and operates its own brand, supplying supermarket multiples and independent retailers.

Managing director Andrew Gordon says the need for a new range targeting ABC1s in the ‘lifestyle sector’ arose because independents ‘won’t stock items that are also in the supermarkets’.

The consultancy was given a ‘clean slate’, says Gordon, to develop a contemporary style that ‘didn’t lose our reputation for quality and our heritage’.

The range rolls out in the UK and internationally following the Olympia event.

Davies Hall was appointed in December last year after a three-way pitch.
