Dubstar don’t pussyfoot around

Dubstar – a pop group who don’t appear to play dub but are becoming stars – have incurred the wrath of prudes everywhere with their latest album cover.

Designed by The Attik, the cover and posters promoting the Disgraceful album feature a Robert Steel photograph of a purse. So what’s the problem?

Well, the purse looks like the bit of female anatomy gynaecologists are familiar with. “It’s a bit rude, but hardly shocking,” claims The Attik’s Simon Needham.

London Underground and several record shops beg to differ. An alternative design is now in circulation featuring a slipper.

Some may say slippers are equally aesthetically upsetting.
