Samsung to overhaul design

The Royal Academy has invited David Chipperfield Architects, Henning Larsens Tegnestue, Michael Hopkins and Partners, and Eric Parry Architects to tender ideas for a building extension.

One will be chosen on 9 February to develop a feasibility study for 6 Burlington Gardens, behind the RA in London’s Piccadilly. The RA wants the space for architectural shows and is applying to the Arts Council to fund the study.
