Three groups pitch to create New Look

John Herbert Partnership, Kinnersley Kent and Section D are competing in a three-way paid pitch to create interiors for women’s fashion retailer New Look’s biggest store.

The new 1022sqm store is due to open in Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield next March.

New Look external communications manager Andrew McDonald says: “Our in-house design team normally creates all the store layouts, but we need quite specialised help with this store.” It will be roughly five times larger than average New Look outlets.

The retailer is also planning to increase the size of many of its shops from an average of 167sqm to 232sqm.

New Look is rolling out its current format, largely designed by JHP, on a larger scale.
