Michele Giles has joined Media Square packaging consultancy Holmes & Marchant as planning director.
Giles joins from Premier Foods, where she was head of insight for the group’s grocery division.
Prior to that she worked in an insight, research and planning role at Rank Hovis McDougall and has also worked as head of research and insight at Dairy Crest.
At Holmes & Marchant she will be responsible for driving insight and innovation across the consultancy’s entire client base. She will work alongside the planning team and chairman Andrew Doyle.
John Mathers, managing director at Holmes & Marchant, says, ’Michele’s appointment is a coup, as it provides us with a level of senior client-side knowledge most consultancies would kill for.’
Giles says, ’Insight is a critical area for brands as it provides a powerful springboard for exemplary design and innovation. Design is vital as packaging is the only ubiquitous communications channel.’
