Two British designers were among the 34 honoured with awards at office furniture show Neocon in Chicago last week.

A gold award in the Computer Support Furniture category went to the electrically adjustable split-surface Banana table designed by John Sims for US company Viking Acoustical Corporation. President Office Furniture’s Kyo system, designed by David Barker and Ben Fether of London consultancy FM Design, won a silver in the Furniture Systems section.

The Zoom meeting table system, designed by Swiss group Mobimex for Davis Furniture Industries, was voted best product of the show.

m FM Design is working on a table design for US furniture company Vecta, a subsidiary of US giant Steelcase. The concept will be unveiled in about a year.
