Creatives conference goes live

An international conference on the creative industries held on Friday 26 June at Sheffield Hallam University is to be broadcast live over the Internet.

“In view of the importance of the conference, we were keen to give people who can’t do that [be there] the option of “eavesdropping” on sessions they’re particularly interested in,” says a university spokesman.

Details of the conference, entitled Creative Industries, new perspectives for a new century, are available at www.shu.ac/creative.

Contributors include Tourism, Film and Broadcasting minister Janet Anderson, film maker Lord Puttnam, BBC On-line director Nigel Chapman, BT chief technologist and futurologist Peter Cochrane and head of Sony Music Video UK Adam Dunlop.
