He’s got a silver tongue… but he’s not my type

I really enjoyed the In your face feature (DW 9 June). It’s vital that students hear the views of today’s leading designers, as we too strive to shape and perfect our response to typographic challenges.

I particularly liked the intricate observation and beauty of phrase lavished on Peter Gsis’ Stadtplan and the Lufthansa timetable. However, I disagree with this piece on almost every point – these assignments look a lot like a first-year assignment I cobbled together the night before a presentation.

Maybe Bryan Edmonson would consider me for a junior designer position. I’m told he likes witty banter, but, if his quote is accurate, he needs to get out more.
