Law Society report for Web viewing only

The Law Society has produced its new annual report, designed by Synergy, solely for use on its website. It is the first time the report will not be available in print.

In a bid to harness a larger readership, reduce costs and limit environmental damage, the society is making its annual report available in a number of digitally activated formats to cater for the differing levels of technology available to its members.

Reports can be downloaded, e-mailed or faxed to interested recipients via the Synergy-designed website, www.annualreport.lawsociety.org.uk. The report can also be requested from lawsociety@annualreport.org.uk.

An on-line survey will test the response of members to the initiative and probe whether the society’s other services would be better suited to on-line formats.

“The Web presents huge challenges for the legal profession. At The Law Society we want to encourage solicitors to seize these opportunities. We want to harness Web technology to provide a faster, more efficient service to members,” says The Law Society president Robert Sayer.
