Magnificent seven conquer the Six Peaks

Following the example of other daring designers, a team of seven, plus two drivers, from Bamber Forsyth undertook the Six Peaks Challenge last weekend.

Intro Design completed a similar event last year (DW 28 May 1999), scaling three mountains in 24 hours. But, the Bamber Forsyth brigade went three better by climbing a total height of 6000m and a total distance of 50 miles during the 72-hour challenge in aid of international charity WaterAid.

Starting from the Isle of Man, they climbed Snaefell, Snowdon, Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis, Slieve Donard, and finished at Corran Tuathail in Killarney, Ireland.

The Kelda Group-sponsored event aims to raise £100 000 to assist WaterAid in providing safe water, basic sanitation and hygiene education programmes in the developing world.
