New in-house design for BA’s travel shops

British Airways is to roll-out a new retail format across its chain of travel shops, reflecting the revamped look of its airport lounges. The redesign has been developed by the company’s in-house design team.

The concept will first be seen at BA’s flagship store on London’s Regent Street, with the ground floor due to be completed by the end of this month. A first-floor revamp was carried out last year. The format will be implemented in BA’s seven London outlets and another 15 around the country.

“The stores haven’t been refurbished for ten years,” says a BA spokeswoman. “We are making sure the travel shops reflect the image of the airport lounges: a lighter, fresher, corporate approach. They will be brighter, more colourful and more customer-friendly and include Internet facilities, too.”
