AIG London signage work is still delayed
A much-postponed major wayfinding strategy for central London – created by Applied Information Group – is still without a publication date, according to a spokeswoman for Central London Partnership, the body that commissioned the scheme (DW 18 November 2004).
The project will provide a signage system ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games, but is understood to be dogged by difficulties between the various CLP partners. It had been scheduled for publication earlier this month, but the spokeswoman says there are no plans at the moment to publish the findings.
It is understood that AIG’s strategic project had to be augmented to take into account London’s successful Olympic bid. It is also thought that a separate tender will be held for the implementation of the signage system.
