Ex-Partners duo join forces in a new group

Shaun Dew and Steve Gibbons are to launch a new consultancy next month. Called Dew Gibbons, the consultancy will reunite the two former partners from The Partners.

Gibbons left The Partners last November after 12 years with the group. Dew left the consultancy last Friday, four months after announcing her intention to quit (DW 24 January).

News of the new group confirms speculation that she and Gibbons would set up together.

Dew Gibbons will be based at London’s Euston. They will share office space with Vicky Sargent and Joe Tibbetts’ marketing group Abet Market Communications.

Gibbons says the two groups will collaborate on some projects, but will have no formal ties. Gibbons says Dew Gibbons will work with others – such as architects or website technicians – on specific projects.

Dew Gibbons will have five staff initially, including four creatives. They will include former Partners senior designer Peter Hale, who left the consultancy around a year ago to travel.

Dew Gibbons is also to take on a college-leaver from this year’s crop of students.

The new group is already working on projects for the Design Council and for Dixons Stores Group.
