Batchelor takes on Orange role

Interbrand joint managing director Alex Batchelor is joining Orange as vice-president worldwide brand in January.

At Orange, Batchelor will be responsible for the brand on a global basis, including marketing and advertising activities. He remains at Interbrand until the end of December.

Batchelor spent five years at Interbrand, initially as a director working on brand valuation and strategy projects, then as joint managing director alongside Tony Allen from 1999.

Batchelor will not be replaced at Interbrand. The management team will continue with Rita Clifton as chief executive and Tony Allen as sole managing director.
