BDG McColl plans presence in Wales

Design and architecture group BDG McColl is to launch an additional UK office in Cardiff to enable easier servicing of clients in Wales.

Starting with just five staff, the office will be capable of handling work for each of the group’s four divisions – Workplace, Retail and Leisure, Communications and Architecture.

Ian Pepperell, managing director of BDG McColl Bristol, will head up the office, while retaining his responsibilities in Bristol.

“Market research has shown us we can serve Welsh clients better if we have a presence down there,” says a spokeswoman for the group.

Clients handled at the office will include Cardiff Bay Development Corporation and the Welsh Development Agency.
