Design in business

The Design Council’s Design in Business Week runs from 26-30 October. This year’s theme is Creative Organisations. The week aims to inspire and motivate key opinion formers with the message that innovation and profitability go hand in hand. A selection of events are listed below.

More than 70 companies will exhibit at The Design Show, from 27-29 October. A programme of seminars and a free case study forum will complement the show.

Business Link Kent and Kent Institute of Art & Design is running three design forums as part of Design in Business Week. Creative Product and Manufacturing Forum takes place in Rochester on 26 October; Creative Media and Communication Forum in Maidstone on 29 October; and Environment and Architectural Forum in Canterbury on 30 October.

Business Link Thames Valley and Reading design group Splash of Paint are sponsoring a debate Design at the Sharp End: Adding s to your Balance Sheet? on 27 October at 6.30pm. On 29 October a one-day conference, Brand Wars, will examine the importance of branding.
