Work by Gustav Metzger, Mitja Tusek exhibits from 25 October until 10 January 1999. Metzger will show an electronically controlled version of his 1960s liquid crystal light projections. Tusek will show canvases incorporating layers of beeswax, tinted with pigments.

The Welsh Design Advisory Service has organised Design and Innovation in the Automotive Industry to take place on 26 October between 5.30pm and 8.30pm. An exhibition and lecture will focus on the Welsh economy and how the WDAS intends to raise the profile of design and innovation as a powerful business strategy.

The 1998 London Artist Book Fair is held between 23-25 October. Artists and writers including David Hockney and Damien Hirst will display examples of their work at the fair. A programme of talks, readings, seminars and other events will be taking place.
