News of robotic reporters trying to wire the world

We love a good design story and hope that you, our valued readers, are at least mildly amused by our hilarious takes on them.

But news that journalists could soon be replaced by robot reporters has rocked and shocked the design world (perhaps).

Developed by Charles Callaway and James Lester of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, US, the software is trained to turn news wire text into readable news stories.

In anticipation of this breakthrough in journalism, we understand that several writers have been put on suicide watch.
