SmithKline Beecham rebuilds pack roster

Valuable People – a retraining document designed by Atelier – was launched by Employment Secretary Michael Portillo on Tuesday. The document is the end result of a Government-funded joint initiative between the City & Inner London North Training & Enterprise Council and IMRO, the regulatory body for financial services.

The packaging design roster of SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare has been reviewed. The roster has increased to 10 consultancies, including six incumbents.

Newcomers are Michael Peters Limited, Wickens Tutt Southgate, Wagstaffs and Klaus Wuttke and Partners. They join Smith & Milton Original, Dohm Puzey, Andrew Partridge Design, Direct Design, Haines McGregor and Trademarks Design.

PI Design and Webb Scarlet are now the preferred suppliers for structural packaging design, although they are not on the roster itself.

The level of work is set to rise following SKB’s takeover of Sterling Health. work on Sterling Health brands being carried out by other consultancies will be completed, but all new work will go through the SKB roster.

*Dohm Puzey has designed packs for SmithKline Beecham’s Ribena Juice & Fibre.
