Chinese beer packed in UK

Truro design group Sightlines has developed packaging and display merchandise for Yixing, the first Chinese beer to be brewed and distributed outside China.

The drink, made under licence by the Redruth Brewery, was launched last week. Its ingredients include rice, Nanjing hops and a special yeast. The packaging will be used in China as well as the UK.

“We had to be aware of cultural differences and come up with a design that would work in two completely different countries”, explains Helen Coyle of Sightlines.
