Comic fans in Wolverhampton are in for a treat at the exhibition Dave McKean’s Comics, Illustration, Photography and Design which opens on Sunday. Famous for his work on Black Orchid and Violent Cases, McKean also worked on the award-winning Voodoo Lounge album last year. Until 28 February.

Music lovers should go and check out the show Variations on a Theme, 150 years of photographs of British composers. The exhibition includes rare gems such as this picture of Sir Edward Elgar taken by Dr C Grinrod in 1903, along with prints by Cecil Beaton and Karsh. Until 26 May.

And in Glasgow Richard Rogers – Sustainable Architecture introduces different aspects of sustainable design. Until 1 March.
