The latest café bar concept to compete for market share in London was created by Design House and Hone Edwards. The Reef’s first site is at Paddington Station. It will roll out across airports, stations and shopping centres.

Design House generated the name and identity for the concept for client Select Service Partner, while Hone Edwards created the interiors. It is aimed at 18-35-year-olds and is loosely themed around travelling, water and meeting.

The Reef is scheduled to open at London’s Victoria and Waterloo stations next spring and across the UK over the next three years.

Sainsbury’s is introducing a coffee bar to its Clapham store in London in September. It will be operated by The Perfection Coffee Company, which is itself planning to expand as a chain, says its managing director Jill Pilskin. Graphics and interiors are by US freelance Anne Croney.
