Storm to make US stationery dealer ‘hip’

Independent Stationers, the 400-strong US stationery dealer collective, has appointed Wiltshire group Storm Strategic Design to modernise its brand.

The group was appointed without a pitch. It will initially work on a new identity, and then revamp the client’s literature suite. The project is expected to take around 12 months.

“The image of Independent Stationers has become outdated and is in need of modernisation. We are looking to make it more like Wallpaper magazine – young, hip and efficient,” says Storm marketing manager George Martino.

The consultancy is currently working on strategy.

“The identity will have to be used in conjunction with the identity of each dealer member and so it will have to be chameleon-like. That is what we are working on at the moment,” says Martino.

Storm has just completed a brochure for Trust Bond, a new product for Legal & General’s Unit Trust Division.
