Amaze remedy for drug brands

Pharmaceuticals giant Warner Lambert is developing its first product-branded websites for the UK, designed by London Web design group Amaze.

Amaze was appointed after a three-way pitch against unnamed digital media groups from Warner Lambert’s unofficial roster.

The Web design group will begin by creating websites for two of the healthcare group’s over-the-counter brands, allergy drug Benadryl and haemorrhoid treatment Anusol.

The move follows the group’s US initiatives aimed at extending its brands, with educational websites targeting both consumers and healthcare professionals.

Warner Lambert Consumer Healthcare UK product manager Ashley Knight says the initiative marks the beginning of an e-commerce strategy that will be rolled out over the next 12 months through additional product-banded websites.

“This is a first for Warner Lambert in the UK, so these two brands will to some extent be a test for us. But we have got future plans to launch other sites and a roster of new media designers is emerging,” he says.

The Benadryl site is scheduled to go live in the middle of April, followed by the Anusol site, which goes up in May.
