A US-developed global website for the design industry, Design Scout.com, is being relaunched this week.
Billed as the first global search engine aimed specifically at the design sector, Design Scout managing director Allison Cheston says the site is aiming to become a “full service marketplace”. The site has been redesigned in-house.
Design groups pay an annual fee for a listing on the service aimed at both consultancies and design buyers. Industry information, data and business practice advice is available, as well as a referral services and advice for clients requiring consultancies.
“I want Design Scout to be a place where both prospective clients and consultancies can find previously elusive information. We are also actively seeking out relevant industry research studies to undertake on behalf of our members,” says Cheston.
An advice service by e-mail and a quarterly “e-zine” are also offered to subscribers.
