Lime sweetens TH Datacoms look

Lime Marketing has created an identity, brochure and stationery for telecoms cabling company TH Datacoms, which all launch next week.

The work represents the first time the company has invested in design or promotional material.

TH Datcoms commercial director John Freeland says, ‘The company’s profile was very limited. We are well-known within our market and have a strong client base, but the objective [of the brief] was to take us to the next level in a wider arena.’

Lime Marketing creative director Jane Austin says the identity is a makeover of an existing corporate marque which the company was using but not actively marketing. She adds, ‘[The identity] didn’t have any real visual equity or life to it.’

The consultancy also advised the client to abbreviate its name to TH Datacoms from TH Data and Telecommunications. ‘It’s still generic but it rolls off the tongue more,’ says Austin.

The consultancy collaborated with freelance illustrator Mike Stones on the identity and cover for the brochure, which incorporates a montage image, according to Austin.

Lime Marketing won the work following a pitch against two other Brighton-based consultancies, Nexus and BDA, in March.
