Siegelgale staff fired in reshuffle

Siegelgale, the independent branding and new media consultancy, has axed four senior staff members from its London office, including managing director Peter Gilson and creative director Peter Rae.

The cuts, which also include senior vice-president of consulting John Hall and senior consultant Anita Califano, were made on Friday by the consultancy’s head office in New York.

Siegelgale president Duncan Pollock says, ‘The people who are being made redundant are not contributing to the clients’ business.’

Former executive vice-president Ken Windsor becomes managing director in charge of client services, and former financial director Andrea Roper becomes managing director of business operations. Both already worked at the London office.

Clive Rohald takes over as senior creative director, but Hall and Califano will not be replaced. Gilson has been offered a consultancy role though it is unclear if it will become a permanent position.

Three junior designers from the London office have also been made redundant.

‘This reorganisation recognises the people who have made the most contributions to our clients’ business,’ says Pollock.

Pollock says there will be no more redundancies in the group, adding that there have been no client losses in the past six months.

The consultancy was founded in 1969 and has offices in New York, Beverly Hills, London and Tel Aviv.
