Liberty to ‘re-establish’ its brand

Luxury London department store Liberty says it may refresh its brand, “which has been allowed to drift”, according to a Liberty spokesman, upon the appointment of Fiona Harrison as chief executive.

“There will be no big design job, but we may look to refresh the brand in three or four months’ time,” he adds.

Harrison, who takes the reins on 4 December, says her appointment is a “tremendous opportunity to re-establish the Liberty brand, which has suffered from under-investment and a lack of strategic direction”.
