… a Cardiffian’s relief

Hugh Pearman ought not lament the demise of Zaha Hadid’s Cardiff opera house (DW 10 October). As a Cardiffian, I was horrified to see the proposals which looked like a poorly designed Seventies polytechnic. I’m sad Cardiff didn’t get its opera house, but glad the building plans went in the bin.
