The British Council is planning to bring in a number of consultancies to carry out a rebrand of its entire operation.

“We have been mulling things over for a long time and conducted a feasibility study with Interbrand. It recommended the process be broken into design, customer service and communications,” says the councils Ian Gunter, who is responsible for the design elements of the rebrand.

The rebranding is divided into graphics, new media and architecture. “We will probably end up using a number of consultancies,” says Gunter.

“We are about to roll out a number of initiatives,” he adds, although he would not be drawn on details.
