Prickly reception for an over-helpful guest

Lloyd Northover Citigate threw an American-flavoured bash last week to celebrate its union with Bass Yager.

Burgers and pizzas were duly consumed, along with much wine. Somebody though, perhaps unimpressed by the vintage, appears to have poured theirs into the large cactus gracing the doorway.

The mighty plant, rumoured to have cost the consultancy 700, collapsed in a heap. Over enthusiasm for plant welfare resulted in a nasty injury to an impressively biceped designer who ill-advisedly tried to pick it up.
