Four designers have gone to the hustings for election on to the British Design and Art Direction executive committee.

Richard Seymour of Seymour Powell, The Identica Partnership’s Michael Peters, David Stuart of The Partners and Roundel’s Mike Denny are vying for two places on the committee. Those successful on 6 November will then be able to compete with the two designers already on the committee – Tomato’s Graham Wood and Richard Mellor of Hyperinteractive – to become the next D&AD president-elect.

Whoever gets that job will take over the presidency from advertising man Tim Mellors of Mellors Reay in November 1998. Currently president-elect, Mellors will take the reigns from CDT Design’s Mike Dempsey when he steps down as president next month.
