Factory duo take flight with posh celeb’s rug

Trainee pilot Adrian Berry and wing-walker Adam White (both pictured), of Factory Design, get nostalgic about the ‘extraordinary experience’ of working on Concorde (see Feature, page 16).

But don’t let them fool you. They only did it for the free flight – a return, no less, to New York. A scan down the passenger list showed them next to one T Palmer-Tomkinson, they recall, but on boarding, she’d requested a move to the premium seats up front. Nothing personal, the pair insist.

They left the aircraft with their pride (almost) intact and Tara’s Conran-designed blanket as a keepsake. Now that Berry and White’s airline operations are sadly over, it’s back to the design day jobs.
