Hong Kong embraces the Yorkshire Pudding

Following the influx of McDonald’s, Burger King and KFC into the UK, soup, bagels and sushi are the current favourite fast food options sweeping the country.

But as the British sample some of the culinary delights of the Orient, it appears that our friends in Hong Kong have developed a taste for one of the UK’s most famous and traditional dishes.

According to the well-travelled folk at Fitch, the latest fast-food craze in Hong Kong is Yorkshire pudding. ‘There are outlets emerging in the high streets and there is advertising for them everywhere,’ says Fitch’s London office managing director John Harrison. He didn’t sample the delicacy himself, though.
