First Oasis springs up in Lake District

The Rank Group will next month launch Oasis Forest Holiday Villages – its competitor to Center Parcs – using an identity by TMC Design and graphics and signage by Marketplace Design.

The first site will be in the Lake District. Marketplace has developed brand identities for several areas of the Oasis village, which will house 700 residential units.

These include a cinema, nine restaurants, bars, a health spa run as a joint venture with London health club The Sanctuary, and a country club. The consultancy had previously worked with Oasis managing director James Whittell when he held a similar position at Butlins, also Rank-owned.
