Gilbert and George too basic for Type Circle

As websites wise up, information is coming thick and fast in bite-size chunks. Are we in danger of information overload and loss of judgement? Peter Hall thinks not

Gilbert and George are living up to their lively reputation as “performance artists”, even when on disk. The duo asked MetaDesign to create a CD-ROM for them on the fundamentals of life, which the consultancy proudly presented to a Type Circle meeting in Leeds last week. So moving did some of the 400-strong audience find the movements on the CD-ROM that they were themselves moved to leave the room. A response Gilbert and George may be more familiar with than MetaDesign.
