Kate Irving is believed to be preparing to leave Rodney Fitch Design Consultants after less than a year.

The departure of the joint chief executive would come as further disruption to the consultancy. It would follow the loss of seven staff – including six creatives – who were made redundant by the consultancy last month (DW 28 March).

Irving was recruited from Coley Porter Bell last summer, alongside CPB creative director Paul Parkin. She was client services director at Coley Porter Bell and took on the role of business development manager at Rodney Fitch Design Consultants. She was then promoted to the position of joint chief executive.

It is thought that Irving, who has previously worked at Interbrand, Wolff Olins and Sampson Tyrrell, has yet to agree a departure date.

Irving declines to confirm she is departing or to comment on her future plans.

No-one at the consultancy was available to comment.
