Learning campaign hits the road

Met Studio and The Visual Connection have jointly won a free-pitch against four other consultancies to develop a touring exhibition for the National Campaign for Learning. The outcome of the pitch was decided two weeks ago.

If a bid for National Lottery funding is successful, the exhibition, provisionally called Learning for Life, will be launched in March next year.

It will visit venues such as shopping centres and railway stations and encourage learning among disadvantaged groups.

Met Studio is designing the exhibition, while The Visual Connection is developing interactive exhibits and planning tour venues. The size of the exhibition will vary to suit individual venues, says Jack Lohman, a director of The Visual Connection.

The Millennium Commission has confirmed its support for the 50m Lottery grant towards the Millennium Point Initiative, based in Digbeth.
