Products exported to raise profile in Poland

Ideas for eight export products are destined for Poland as part of the Designing for a New Europe project. Funded by the British Council, the scheme involves Business Link design counsellors promoting UK design overseas.

“Poland is an exciting market with a lot of potential for British businesses and designers,” says project leader Steve Hoffman.

Design students from Leeds Metropolitan University are working with Polish and British designers to develop the projects which include railway station furniture, a music point-of-sale system and telephone boxes. The project culminates in an exhibition in the UK and Poland at the end of this year.
