Acas report gets To The Point

To The Point has been appointed by the employment conciliation group Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service to create its 2002/2003 annual report.

Appointed last month after a four-way pitch, To The Point is believed to be earning in the region of £50 000 in fees for the project. To The Point designer Lucy Border will lead the design team, with the group’s report due for publication at the beginning of September.

Acas communications manager Paula Williams says the group has been briefed to further develop last year’s themes and make the report more ‘user friendly’.

‘The aim is to convey an image of professionalism and authority in a forward-looking manner,’ Williams adds.

According to To The Point managing director Simon Hutton, the report will ‘make visible the effectiveness of Acas by demonstrating their impartiality, understanding and problem solving expertise’.

It will follow a ‘magazine style’, encompassing strong graphics and full-bleed images. Photography will reflect the ‘people-focused objective of the organisation’, Hutton adds.

Meanwhile, To The Point has been appointed to design the annual reports and accounts of both the Laboratory of the Government Chemist and the British Chamber of Shipping.

Both projects are worth five-figure sums in fees to the consultancy. The BCS report will be published later this month with the LGC report due for publication in July.
